Erin McDannald, CEO and co-owner of Lighting Environments and its sister company, Environments, has guided clients throughout the entire lighting design and construction process for over two decades.
Trained as an interior designer, McDannald joined Baltimore’s New Design Light firm in the sales department in 2003 before becoming co-owner in 2009. Under her leadership, the company rebranded to Lighting Environments to reflect the company’s expansion into lighting technology offerings for all built environments. Honored as a 2022 Bisnow “Innovator of the Year” in commercial real estate, Erin is recognized as a top female leader in DC’s real estate field.
Now a pioneer for IoT (Internet of Things) integration and building and workplace management, McDannald is leading today’s workforce through powerful digital transformation with the Elevated EnvironmentsTM app. Environments is an IoT integrator and software development company offering full-scale adaptable solutions that support businesses from end-to-end, from energy management to health monitoring.

In honor of Endometriosis Awareness Month and Women's History Month, No Pix After Dark collaborated with the Baltimore Flow (Episode 221) to bring together a panel of people living with endometriosis to discuss challenges in navigating healthcare and how to advocate for yourself or someone you love.
Endometriosis, a disease that causes tissue similar to the uterine lining to implant throughout the body, causing pain and dysfunction, affects at least one in 10 people assigned female at birth. However, getting a correct diagnosis takes an average of 10 years and getting proper treatment can also be challenging.
Staci Wolfson spoke to Lauren Kornegay, founder of Endo Black, Les Henderson, founder of Endoqueer, and Fox45 politics reporter Mikenzie Frost who recently spoke out publicly about her second surgery for endometriosis here in Baltimore.

Celebrating Women's History Month I interviewed Corinna Delgado a poet, emcee, red carpet reporter, tv reporter at DCW 50 and radio broadcaster at Mix 106.5 Baltimore 94.7 the drive in Washington D.C and remotely at hot 95.9 Austin Texas. We discussed her journey into Broadcasting on the radio and becoming a highly sought after person in the industry. How being in the military helped her with the work ethic she has now.
Corinna Delgado has been a voice in broadcasting for over 20 years on more than 12 stations across the country. Delgado has been a Reporter & Anchor for ABC and FOX affiliates in Anchorage, AK. As a Journalist, she has written for The Anchorage Daily News, The Anchorage Press and The Northern Light. Delgado has also published 4 books, including 3 poetry compilations and 1 therapeutic creative writing workbook. In addition to opening for countless acclaimed artists, Def Poetry Jam, Grammy winning artists The Roots, World Poetry Champion Buddy Wakefield, and many more, Delgado has won 2 State-Wide poetry Championships, ranked Nationally within the top ten performance poets with PSI (Poetry Slam Incorporated), and has been to Folsom Prison twice to perform for inmates with the Arts in Correction Program. Delgado also took the stage at TEDx Anchorage, performing a multi-media poetic monologue entitled "The Divine Connection of the Human Condition".
Corinna is a dedicated humanitarian. She is a former commissioner on the Municipal Arts Advisory Commission for Anchorage Alaska. Delgado taught a 3 part therapeutic Writing Course "Writing as Therapy" in schools districts and correctional facilities across the states for over a decade. Delgado was the Development Director for AWAIC (The Abused Women’s Aid In Crisis Shelter) and most recently performed for numerous community focused events during the pandemic. She continues to use her broadcast connections and art to serve as a platform for human rights issues. Delgado credits the 6 years served as a Combat Medic in the military as her foundation of service to others. A sought after public speaker, Corinna has been an emcee and key note speaker for such groups as The United Way, The NAACP, The National Endowment for The Arts, and The YWCA, to name a few.

I interviewed the owner of Found Studio Shop Kacey Stafford. Found Studio Shop was named Baltimore's Best Shop Owner" - Baltimore Magazine & Voted "Best Gift Shop" - Reader's Poll 2022! Kacey and I talked about her journey as an entrepreneur. She learned at a young age by watching other family members that had there own business. We talked about some exciting news for her company in this episode.
Found Studio Shop is carefully curated gifts made (mostly) by locally/regionally small maker owned businesses who create small batch goods. You can feel good knowing that when you shop at Found Studio | Shop you are supporting not only one small business but several.
The owner, Kacey Stafford, has been creating artwork since her teenage years. In 2000 she graduated with a BS in Art Education from Murray State University in Kentucky and taught art in public school for several years. In 2009 she started Found Studio, LLC and has been creating mixed media originals and prints ever since.
Located in the Heart of NE Baltimore Our shop is connected to Red Canoe Cafe in Lauraville. You may enter from the cafe and there is a separate entrance to the shop from the main street. I sat down with Jungle Jordan this week on the NoPixAfterDarkPodcast. We discussed how he took an interest into animals at a young age. His passion for being a zoo keeper. His travels across the United States speaking to different audiences about his journey. Awareness and Diversity to the zookeepers field. I would like thank the Maryland Zoo for connecting us.
Jungle Jordan is a zookeeper and wildlife educator whose mission is to make it fun to learn about the animal world. His passion for wildlife education and conservation is contagious and he hopes to inspire younger generations to be participants in conserving and repairing the natural world. Through his educational and often comedic videos, he explores different ways to engage with wildlife: in zoos, aquariums, safaris, through books and television, and even hiking in his own backyard. Jordan has been bringing his voice to his audience as Jungle Jordan since 2017: through social media, podcasts, classrooms, diversity panels, and more. He advocates not only for the conservation of wildlife but also for diverse audiences to get involved in animal care and conservation. Jordan hopes his voice will inspire more diversity and inclusivity in the animal world.

I sat down with Dr Sealey the Founding Dean of the Proposed Maryland College of Osteopathic Medicine at Morgan State. In this interview we spoke about his background, where he grew up and what made him get into the medical profession and become a Doctor. He walks us through his life and how ended up at Morgan State University. We discuss what he has in store for the the proposed Medical School.
Dr. John Sealey is a renowned innovator in clinical medical education and served as the leading fundraiser and founding DIO of Detroit’s Authority Health graduate medical education residency program, a $25 million in-community resident training initiative that was the largest teaching health center program in the country. He continues to support the program as DIO/DME Emeritus and as a consulting Medical Director.
Dr. Sealey has long been a passionate advocate of increasing diversity in medical education and has enjoyed developing pipeline programs targeting the underserved and underrepresented. He is a graduate of an HCBU, North Carolina Central University (1971) and received his medical education at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine (1976). He completed his resident training at Botsford General Hospital (now Beaumont) and the Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in 1984, specializing in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, and has served underprivileged patients in the Detroit community for the entirety of his surgical career. In 2015, he completed an American Osteopathic Association Health Policy Fellowship at Ohio’s University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
A longstanding advocate for the osteopathic profession and a dedicated clinical instructor, Dr. Sealey has spent over thirty years in medical education and fifteen years in leadership. Since 2008, he has served as the Director of Student Medical Education for Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (Regional Dean for the Detroit Region). From 2011 onward, he held a similar role at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, including responsibility for the coordination and initiation of student clinical rotations at the Detroit Medical Center. He later provided development and upstart advisory for the Minnesota College of OsteopathicMedicine as the Associate Dean of Medical Affairs and currently serves as the Associate Dean ofClinical Medicine at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine where he leads the oversight of clinical departments, graduate medical education, and third and fourth-year student clinical rotations.
Nationally, Dr. Sealey is a member of the American Osteopathic Association’s Council on Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education, having completed his term as Chairman in 2020, and was recently appointed as the Co-Chairman of COCA’s Committee on Diversity. He served on the HRSA Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry and continues to serve the State of Michigan as a member of the Acupuncture Board, a position appointed by the Governor.
Dr. Sealey has spearheaded numerous medical research projects as clinical advisor and has presented as a frequent speaker to numerous national committees and organizations, including the Association of Osteopathic Directors and Medical Educators, the Heartland Health Equity Conference, the ACGME Annual Educational Conference, the ACGME Accreditation & Medically Underserved Areas Work Group, and the AHME Institute. His scholarship has been published by, inter alia, the Journal of American Osteopathic Association,
